Our Philosophy

Hygiene plays a key role at per piedi.

At Per Piedi, our patients can be sure they will always find a spotless treatment room and will only be treated using sterile instruments. By adopting systematic hygiene processes, we are protecting our employees and our patients from hazardous infections and guaranteeing maximum safety.

To prepare medical products for our podiatrists, we have developed and established our Central Sterilization Supply Department (CSSD) in accordance with Swissmedic hygiene standards and standard SN EN 13060.

Strict statutory hygiene regulations are self-evident for our podiatrists

  • In the red-marked zone of our CSSD, all used instruments are deposited and primarily cleaned and disinfected in our two thermal disinfectors. In this zone, proper waste disposal is also carried out.
  • After hand disinfection, the sterilized instruments are inspected in the yellow-marked zone, possibly sharpened, oiled, and packaged for sterilization in filter trays or sterilization pouches. In special cases, we use a mouth/nose mask and/or safety glasses.
  • In the green zone, sterilization is carried out in steam autoclaves using high-quality demineralized water. Reverse osmosis is a particularly environmentally friendly method of water treatment. The packaged, autoclaved instruments are stored dust-free and dry in a designated cabinet until they are removed by the podiatrist.

The patented technology of a double-walled sterilisation chamber used in the Cliniclave 45 results in quick operating times, making the Cliniclave a crucial component in instrument processing. Two large autoclaves each have a loading capacity of up to 40 kg for unpackaged instruments and 35 kg for packaged instruments. The integrated software for documentation, approval, and traceability allows us to ensure complete safety and traceability.

All our devices are regularly subjected to safety inspections and validated. The relevant sterilisation parameters: pressure, temperature, and time, are recorded for each sterilisation cycle, documented with a batch number, and released after inspection.
