Our feet support us throughout our entire life, so it’s important to pay attention to them by giving them regular podiatric care. If your feet are hurting, you have an ingrowing toenail or an uncomfortable corn, you’ve come to the right place.
Podiatrists with a Federal VET Diploma follow a three-year training course. Their tasks include:
Podiatry treatments are challenging. We are a member of the Swiss Podiatry Association (SPV). This ensures that you and your foot problems are in safe, qualified hands. We also provide our staff with regular ongoing training.
This classic massage primarily regulates the muscle tone. This effect comes about through improved circulation and metabolism at the massage site, triggered by stimulating the nerves in the skin and muscles. It also has a positive effect on the human psyche. Massage relaxes, calms and boosts general wellbeing.
Individual, made-to-measure orthotics mean we can instantly alleviate pain and pressure. We can also mechanically correct toe alignment.
Potential areas of use:
The orthotic consists of a two-part silicone elastomer in various pressure-relieving or corrective Shore hardnesses. This material is durable and well tolerated.
For painful ingrowing toenails, we can use various types of toenail brace to achieve the following:

Orthonyxia (bracing) has the following benefits compared with surgery:
Where part of the nail is lost, or where nails are thin and brittle, we recommend a gel coating or replacement nail to preserve the nail bed. Gel replacement nails are used to restore the nail plate and prevent the nail from becoming ingrown. This also optimizes the aesthetic appearance.
Can be used for:
Cryotherapy is the controlled destruction of unwanted tissue by the precise application of extreme cold using nitrous oxide N2O (laughing gas). This quickly freezes the tissue, reducing its temperature from +37°C to -27°C.
Potential areas of use:
A podiatry treatment starts by taking a comprehensive and precise medical history. The history gives the podiatrist a picture of the patient concerned. This results in findings that form the basis of all treatment measures (therapy or treatment plans), preventative measures and advice that are needed to remedy or alleviate the foot complaints.
By enquiring in-depth into existing illnesses or problems, the podiatrist is able to establish a solid foundation for personalized advice and further treatment.
Obtaining a thorough medical history forms an integral part of the diagnosis. Not least, it serves to ensure that the podiatrist enquires about existing illnesses and additional risk factors. At the same time, the patient feels they are being taken seriously, which forms an excellent basis for subsequent advice and treatment.
It is also important that we document the treatment process. This allows us to refer back to any treatment or findings that took place in the past.
At-risk patients are people with an increased risk with regard to delayed wound healing and / or infection.
Patients with a reduced, impaired or missing perception of pain, pressure, injury, cold or heat are at risk because they can no longer feel injuries, inflammation or infection in their feet. A reduced ability to ward off infection as a result of illness and / or therapy, as well as decreased blood circulation, increase the risk of injuries healing badly or failing to heal, which may lead to amputation, for example.
